Adolf Hitler - The Artist
Select a painting below for more information
Hitler pursued a career in artwork as a painter much of his early life. He was rejected by art school and recommended for architecture school because his interests in painting were more about buildings than people. He worked as an artist for years in Vienna and Munich as a young man before World War I. He is believed to have painted thousands of small and medium sized watercolors including postcards and frame filler. Below are some of his watercolor paintings. You can order these as posters or framed prints.
Most of these paintings came from the Hess secretariat collection which was transferred later to Bormann. He then passed the paintings to his wife to be placed in a safe place. They were later confiscated and transported to Siviero in Italy
